On Not Feeling Alone, and a Week of Many Pendants

There is a power that comes from coming together for a common cause.

I have felt this phenomena in a number of different contexts. Whether it’s thousands of people coming together to have fun at a Renaissance Festival, or thousands of people coming together to fight against a genocide, being in a crowd of people who have your back is powerful.

It’s scary out there, but I hope that everyone reading this knows that if you feel alone and alienated from this administration, there are people out there that believe in a good, just world. If you think you’re able to accept the risk, I encourage you to find a friend, get into the street and join a group of protesters. You might be surprised by the energy amd insight you gain from it.

It has been a good week for art. I made this lovely piece, which is available for sale in the shop. The patterns in this piece reminded me of the shell of a beetle, so I hammered the silver at the bottom to suggest wings. This actually helped to create more structural integrity and preserve the negative space, I think I’m going to have to play with this more.

Working on some more classic designs as well, for the sake of variety. Feel free to message me about these for right now, I’m going to list them in the shop proper soon.

I also drew a picture for my ma for Mother’s Day, but that will have to wait until she gets it in the mail.

That’s all for this week. Take care of your friends, and make good trouble if you can.
